What we do

From valuation to the truck, one broker for all of it.

  1. 01

    Herd valuations

    Accurate, reliable and professional.

Know what your herd is worth before you sell, lease, refinance or restructure. Liam walks the cows, looks at the records and gives you a number grounded in what buyers are paying right now.

  2. 02

    Herd selections

Find the right livestock for your farm.

Building or rebuilding a herd? Tell us your system, stocking rate and breeding goals and we will source and select cows and heifers that fit, rather than just filling a truck.

  3. 03

    Cull cow bookings

Simplify the process, maximise your returns.

We book your cull cows in with processors and keep the timing and paperwork simple, so they leave the farm when it suits you and you get a fair return.

  4. 04

    Service bulls

Quality bulls to buy or lease.

Dairy and beef service bulls available to buy or lease, matched to your herd and mating plan. Available upon request, so give Liam a call to talk numbers and breeds.

  5. 05

    Live export inlets

    Connect with international buyers.

Where an export order fits your stock, we put you in front of the buyer and handle the coordination between farm and order.

  6. 06

    Store beef cattle inlets

Store cattle sourced to your requirements.

For finishers and traders: store beef cattle sourced to the class, weight and timing you need, from farmers we know.

Our point of difference

Farmers helping farmers.

We don't take a one-size-fits-all approach. We carefully craft sales plans tailored to optimise your livestock returns, helping you reach your financial and operational goals.

Liam Simmons, founder of Vinerra Livestock Group

Meet Liam Simmons

Paid in calves from the age of ten.

Liam grew up in Otorohanga and spent his weekends on his grandfather's farm at Tihiroa, near Pirongia. By ten he was doing the milking on his own and being paid in calves, which he reared and grew into his own stock.

He went on to work on dairy farms around the district and was leasing his own Waikato dairy farm by 24. Today he lives about 20 minutes from Te Awamutu and puts that same passion for people and stock into every deal.
